Stepping into the office space of Thermo Fisher Scientific Taiwan, the predominant colors of silver and tangerine red immediately catch the eye. The silver serves as a technological anchor, symbolizing Thermo Fisher's remarkable standing in the scientific field and its boundless potential for future exploration. In contrast, the tangerine red acts like a sail setting forth, carrying the team's vitality and innovative drive, infusing warmth and life into the space.

In the open-plan office environment, NOVAH centers its philosophy on technology, organically connecting functional areas such as workstations, collaboration zones, and storage areas. Through tech-driven office furniture like the Morph smart cabinets and Nobius soundproof phone booths, the space maintains an open and airy feel while achieving efficient functional zoning. This design concept of "order within openness" not only meets the diverse working needs of Thermo Fisher employees but also provides endless possibilities for their collaboration and innovation.

Dynamic Health, Workstation as the Engine

NOVAH has fully considered the working characteristics of employees who need to balance long periods of focus on client demands and market analysis with spontaneous communication and collaboration within their teams. Therefore, we adopted a design concept that combines Dyna 2, Cluster, and honeycomb screen workstations to achieve a dynamic balance between focus and collaboration, providing flexible support for various working scenarios.

For tasks requiring deep concentration, the honeycomb screen workstation is designed with a hexagonal geometric structure at its core, creating a visual barrier through high screens. When seated, employees’ lines of sight are naturally blocked, ensuring uninterrupted focus, while standing up allows them to easily engage in conversations with colleagues. The screen surfaces are made of sound-absorbing materials, further reducing background noise such as keyboard typing and device notifications. This creates an "quiet but not enclosed" atmosphere, ideal for intensive intellectual work.

Dyna 2 is a smart height-adjustable desk custom-designed by NOVAH for healthy work environments, seamlessly combining technology with human-centered design. With just a touch of a button, employees can effortlessly switch between sitting and standing modes, effectively alleviating back fatigue caused by prolonged sitting while promoting blood circulation and mental alertness through posture adjustments. This ensures that work performance remains consistently optimal.

During the height adjustment process, the desk is equipped with intelligent safety sensing technology. If it encounters any obstacles (such as file cabinets, equipment, or body parts), the desk will automatically stop descending and retract to prevent injuries caused by collisions or pinching. This thoughtful safety design not only protects employees' physical well-being but also makes the height adjustment process smoother and worry-free.

Employees can enjoy coffee here while engaging in informal conversations with colleagues about project updates. Around the greenery, the space is thoughtfully arranged with Four Resting and FourSure44 seating, complemented by warm circular ceiling lights. This setup reflects the close-knit and supportive spirit among employees at Thermo Fisher Taiwan, enhancing team unity and collaboration.

The Lotus bar stool, with its modern and minimalist design, offers employees ample freedom in seating posture. Whether it's a brief stop at the counter or an extended in-depth conversation, the Lotus provides comfortable support for every interaction.

The Nobius soundproof phone booth has become an "invisible collaboration hub" within the space. Thanks to its exceptional soundproofing performance, the Nobius booth significantly reduces noise transmission, making the sounds, activities, and even the presence of people inside seem almost invisible. Once inside, external noise is effectively blocked out, while conversations within remain private and do not disturb those outside.

Nobius offers flexible configurations, including single-person, double-person, and four-person options, catering to a variety of needs—from individual online communication and one-on-one discussions to small team meetings. This versatility enhances the efficiency of quick collaborations, providing a versatile solution for modern workspace requirements.

For the Taiwan Thermo Fisher team, whose daily work involves storing a large amount of client data, market analysis documents, and personal belongings, administrators can flexibly assign multiple lockers to specific employees as needed to meet diverse working requirements. All allocation records can be viewed directly on the control screen without re-registration on a computer, further simplifying the management process.

Morph Locker not only resolves storage challenges in open office areas but also innovatively optimizes space planning, creating an efficient and intelligent office environment for Thermo Fisher Taiwan.
